Japanese wood carving.

I found this photograph which was taken when I was stationed in Hiroshima with BCOF in 1946 , it was shared between my mate Reg and I where we kept all our odds and ends, I had the left hand side but you can see we 18 year olds liked Rita Hayworth the front lower left was a pen friend from New Zealand ,long forgotten , the top left was a piece of sawn silver birch with a Japanese scene painted on it I paid one yen for it now scroll down and see the same piece of wood.

You were both neat & tidy for 18 years, very symmetrical – good balance with Rita in the middle! More old photos of your time there please.
